About five weeks to a social library

Also recently added - a link to a course that is devoted to "teaching librarians about social software and how to use it in their libraries." This is a free, online course that is limited to 40 participants. The bad news is that applications close on December 1st. However, the good news is that the course content is going to be freely available to anyone who is interested and the Webcasts will be able to be downloaded at a later date. The course runs between February 12 and March 17, 2007 - so bookmark this site and keep in touch with what is happening. The content appears to be really relevant to getting on board with Library 2.0.

New link - blogwithoutalibrary

You will find this blog under the "Links" heading. This is a great blog, written by Amanda Etches-Johnson, a Canadian academic librarian. Amanda describes her blog as a "space to talk about libraries, technology, and everything in between". She certainly does this and she raises some interesting points about some of the issues around Library 2.0 that we are currently debating - enjoy!
